Private Pilot Course
This course is for students who wish to learn to fly for recreational purposes. A private pilot certificate allows the pilot to fly with passengers and for personal use. This certificate is also the first step in becoming a professional helicopter pilot.
Green Mountain Flight Academy can provide either Part 61 personalized training or training through an FAA Certified Part 141 Course. The following courses are based on FAA minimum times, or the average completion time when a minimum is not prescribed. Individual completion time may vary depending on training requirements and ability. The cost of the Private Pilot course can vary significantly based on the student's aptitude.
FAA Part 141 Requirements:
- Obtain a FAA Third Class Medical
- Pass an FAA Aeronautical knowledge test
- Pass an FAA Practical Test (oral and flight)
Part 141 Course Includes
- 30 hours dual flight
- 5 Hours solo flight
-35 Hours Ground flight training
-19.5 Hours of pre/post flight briefings
