Flight Instructor Courses (CFI and CFII)
We offer both Part 61 and Part 141 training courses to complete your Certified Flight Instructor and Part 61 Certified Flight Instructor Instrument in helicopters.
This training course teaches commercial pilots the fundamentals on how to teach others to fly helicopters. Advanced training will be performed both in flight and through ground courses to prepare you to teach other students. Are you a helicopter pilot who did not perform their training in Robinson helicopters? Check out our R22 and R44 transition courses, that in addition to this course, can help you meet SFAR 73 requirements for instructing in Robinson helicopters.
The following are based on FAA minimum times, or the average completion time when a minimum is not prescribed. Individual completion time may vary depending on training requirements and ability.
CFI FAA Requirements:
-Hold a commercial helicopter pilot certificate
-Hold an FAA third class medical
-Pass an FAA aeronautical knowledge test
-Pass an FAA practical exam (flight and oral)
Part 141 Course Includes:
-25 Hours dual instruction
-40 Hours ground instruction
(CFII time requirements are based off of proficiency)
